Suzy Vaile

Counselor Educator – Supervisor

Suzy is a lifelong learner and loves all things Brené Brown and the power of connection. She is a wife, a mom, an Army brat, and a Texan. She lives with her husband and together they have three children and two dogs, Waffles and Pepsi.

She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina. She is also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and an EMDR certified clinician. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Wake Forest University in 2022 and completed her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Liberty University in 2026.

Suzy is passionate about her work at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. She is the Lead Counselor for Pediatric Trauma, and she is also the adult and pediatric coordinator for the Trauma Survivors Network.

This portfolio is a compilation of the work she completed while at Liberty University, and illustrates her passion and dedication the counseling profession, the people, and the purpose that God has given her to thrive in a helping profession.
